What these photos can and cannot tell you
Before-and-after photography is the most persuasive and least regulated thing in cosmetic dentistry. Lighting, camera angle, lip retraction, and how wet the teeth are will each change the apparent result more than the treatment did. A photo taken under a ring light against a black contrastor flatters any smile.
When you look at any practice’s gallery, including this one, three things are worth checking. Are the before and after shot from the same angle and distance? Are the gums visible in both, or cropped out of one? And is the case shown similar to yours, or is it a straightforward whitening being used to imply what is possible in a complex reconstruction?
Every image we publish here is from a patient of this practice who signed a written release. We do not license stock cases, and we do not retouch. Results vary with the starting condition of your teeth and gums, your bite, your bone, and how the result is maintained afterward. What happened for someone else is not a prediction of what will happen for you.
The only reliable way to know what is achievable for your smile is an exam with imaging. Dr. Korcek will tell you what is realistic, including when the honest answer is that a case is not a good candidate for treatment.
